An NPT-M x NPT-M male hex long nipple is designed to connect two female NPT-threaded components while providing additional spacing between connections. Featuring male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on both ends and a hexagonal centre section, this fitting allows for easy installation and tightening using standard spanners or wrenches.
Long nipples are commonly used in hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial, and process piping systems where extended reach, alignment correction, or clearance from adjacent components is required. The tapered NPT threads create a pressure-tight seal through thread interference, typically enhanced with thread sealant or PTFE tape.
