A hex plug is a pipe fitting used to seal or close off an unused female-threaded port in a piping or fluid system. It features male threads and a hexagonal head, allowing easy installation and removal using a wrench or spanner.
Hex plugs are widely used in hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, oil & gas, and industrial applications for pressure testing, maintenance, or permanently blocking flow paths. They are available in solid or hollow types and in multiple thread standards such as NPT, BSPT, BSPP, SAE, and metric.
