Direct Acting Relief Valve from Hydraulic Megastore
VMDR valves are used to limit the pressure in a circuit. Once the set pressure is overcome the valve opens and unloads the flow via the tank port. The valve closes when the pressure in the system decreases below the set pressure.
The pressure is set on the valve by backing off the locking hex nut, and screwing the spring in / out to the desired setting with an allen key with a pressure gauge connected to the circuit so you can set the pressure to the correct setting. The locknut can then be tightened to avoid the valve being tampered with.
